Living Dinosaurs
We know that these mighty reptiles became extinct some 65 million years ago. But even now in the present after that infinite amount of time, some of these monsters are claimed to still exist. One noted example is Kasai Rex, a theropod dinosaur said to exist in the Congo valley of Africa. Despite its name this theropod is said to be a Carcharodontosaurus rather than a Tyrannosaurus because Tyrannosaurus never lived in Africa from fossil records. There are two alleged sightings for this monster. Similarly another theropod, a Tyrannosaurid called Burrunjor is said to still live in Australia. This monster however has more sightings than its African counterpart. Congo also boasts of a stegosaur dinosaur called Mbielu-Mbielu-Mbielu which claimed to exist in its deep jungles. An armored Ankylosaurus called Muhuru is believed roam the jungles of Kenya. Emela-ntouka (Killer of Elephants), a Ceratopsian (Horned Dinosaur) is also rumored to exist in the central parts of Africa. Another Congo inhabitant is the alleged living sauropod called Mokèlé-mbèmbé. Only time will tell if the dinos survived the mass extinction and whether these cryptid beasts truly do exist or not. It is to be noted that most of the alleged animals come from Africa.
